The faculty of commerce was set up in 2016 with the aim to provide quality education and to enable the students to carve a niche for themselves in the specialized field of commerce. The department focuses on Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Taxation, Corporate/Business Laws and International Business. The faculty places emphasis on learning through projects, seminars, presentations and workshops which help students to acquire skills in line with the requirements of a competitive global work environment as well as social and cultural values. Currently Faculty of Commerce is offering 3- Year undergraduate program in Commerce (B.Com). The program was initiated in 2016 .The program offered by the Faculty has gained wide recognition and acceptance among the industry resulting in excellent placement year after year. Our students have been placed with some renowned employers in the country. In accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) – 2020, the curriculum of B.Com program has been restructured in the academic session 2021-2022. The program provides holistic knowledge and skills in the fields of Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Taxation, Corporate/Business Laws and International Business.

In addition to recording and reporting financial data, it also works with a variety of business-related sub-disciplines, including accounting, finance, taxation, auditing, marketing, human resource management, data analysis, and research.

Department of commerce is offering undergraduate programs in B.Com (Hons.) and B.Com. In accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) – 2020, the curriculum of B.Com program has been restructured in the academic session 2021- 2022. Co-curricular and Vocational courses are the integral part of the B.Com program.
Major areas of study during the study of UG and PG program in commerce are accounting, auditing, finance, taxation, costing, banking, marketing, human resource management, economics, corporate & labour laws, international business etc.Industry visits, summer internship, expert lectures, collaboration with Govt. agencies and other resourceful experts are the important pedagogical activities of discipline in program curriculum.
On successful completion of a degree in commerce, there are numerous research areas available to students such as; Accounting, Finance, Forensic Accounting, Green or Sustainable Finance, Green Marketing, Logistic Management, Behavioral Finance, Digital Marketing, Personal Finance, Business Analytics, Machine learning in Accounting and Finance, Rural Management etc.
Students who successfully complete an undergraduate programme in commerce may choose to work as a financial analyst in various areas of accounting, a cost accountant, an investment banker, a business consultant, a sales executive, an insurance consultant, a market research analyst, a digital marketer, an HR executive, an entrepreneur, etc.
Further Education: B.Com (Hons.)/ B.Com graduates can also pursue further education such as M.Com, MBA, CA, CS, or other professional courses to enhance their knowledge and skills in a specific field.
