Jaypee University Anoopshahr is a multidisciplinary University established in 2014, by the Govt. of U.P. Act No. 8 of 2014. The University is set up in about 95 acres of lush green environment on the banks of holy river Ganga in Anoopshahr, district Bulandshahr, U.P., India (About 100 km from Delhi).
The University offers programs in Engineering, Computer Applications, Sciences, Management, Arts, and Commerce with an aim of providing an excellent educational experience to students.
The University aims to groom high-quality professionals capable of addressing global challenges and industrial needs through multidisciplinary education. The focus is on developing students’ curiosity and critical thinking, innovation, communication, teamwork, and leadership.

Anoopshahr is located on the banks of holy river Ganges in the District Bulandshahr of Western Uttar Pradesh and has a population of around 24000. The town is very well connected from all important places of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. It is 120 KMs from Delhi, 100 KMs from Noida, 82 KMs from Greater Noida, 78 KMs from Moradabad, 42 KMs from Bulandshahr and 100 KMs from Meerut. Further,all these towns are well connected by rail from all parts of the country. Nearby railway stations include Rajghat 12 KMs, Babrala 30 KMs, Bulandshahr 42 KMs and Aligarh 60 KMs.
Anoopshahr was founded by Bargujar Raja Anup Rai around 1610 ,during the time of Mughal Emperor Jahangir and is also called “Choti Kashi”, which mean small Kashi. It has a number of Inter Colleges, a Degree College and now the Jaypee University.
The Jaypee Higher Education System has partnerships with renowned institutions worldwide, facilitating student exchanges, joint research ventures, and faculty collaborations to promote global perspectives and cross-cultural learning. Students have remote access to supercomputing facility installed by the Jaypee Education system at the Ramanujam Universe, Noida.
Transportation facilities are available for day-scholars on selected routes, and the University is well-connected by road to Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Aligarh, Bulandshahr, Moradabad, Sambhal, Badaun, Hapur, Amroha, etc.

Shri Jaiprakash Gaur, the Founder Chairman of the Jaypee Group was born in 1931 in a small village named Chitta (Bulandshahar) in Uttar Pradesh. After completing his early education at various schools in small towns of Uttar Pradesh, he joined Thompson College of Engineering in 1948 and acquired a Diploma in Civil Engineering in 1950 (The College had been converted into the University of Roorkee, now called Indian University of Technology). In the same year, Shri Gaur joined the Irrigation Department of Uttar Pradesh and worked there for 7 years.
The experience gained during this period convinced Shri Gaur that if major construction projects, particularly River-Valley and Hydropower projects could be undertaken efficiently with regard to quality, technology, time and cost, this would act as catalyst in building India’s much needed infrastructure. This conviction resulted in a birth of a new dynamic enterprise with a small capital of Rs. 10,000/- but with a steadfast determination to contribute to nation building.
Mr. Manoj Gaur, Executive Chairman of Jaiprakash Associates Limited, the flagship company of Jaypee Group is a distinguished alumnus from BITS Pilani. After completing his B.E Hons. degree in Civil Engineering, he joined the company during the construction of Jaiprakash Associates Ltd.’s first Cement Plant – 1 MTPA at Rewa Madhya Pradesh.
Dr. Saxena; former Director I.I.T. Roorkee (June 2006 – June 2011), former Mentor Director of I.I.T. Mandi, former Director Thapar University (earlier TIET) Patiala (June 2002 – May 2006) & Director Thapar Centre for Industrial Research & Development (January 2004 to May 2006); is now the Vice- Chancellor (Actg) of Jaypee University of Information Technology (A Deemed University) since 1st July 2011.
Prof. Goel brings over 37 years of professional experience. His career has encompassed different roles at various institutions, including the National Informatics Centre, Delhi Institute of Technology now Netaji Subhash University of Technology, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU), & Galgotias University.
