Jaypee University Anoopshahr is a multidisciplinary University established in 2014, by the Govt. of U.P. Act No. 8 of 2014. The University is set up in about 95 acres of lush green environment on the banks of holy river Ganga in Anoopshahr, district Bulandshahr, U.P., India (About 100 km from Delhi).
The University offers programs in Engineering, Computer Applications, Sciences, Management, Arts, and Commerce with an aim of providing an excellent educational experience to students.
In the pursuit of its objectives, Jaypee University will gradually endeavor to increase the number and scope of Programs. The University currently offers following seven under-graduate programs:

The campus boasts fully equipped and updated infrastructure, including labs, workshops, library, Digital Learning Centre, hostels, cafeteria, Gymnasiums, faculty and staff residences, medical facility, uninterrupted power supply, Wi-Fi, CCTV supported security, etc.

The academic year consists of basically two semesters. The education system is organized around credit system which ensures continuous evaluation of student’s performance and provides flexibility to choose courses of interest and to progress at an optimum pace suited to student’s ability or convenience. Each course is assigned certain number of credits depending upon the class contact hours. A specified number of credits and CGPA are to be completed satisfactorily in order to qualify for a degree. The medium of Instructions is English.

The Programs of study emphasize strong conceptual understanding and practical skills in their respective areas of specialization. All students are provided with a sound foundation in basic sciences, coupled with courses in the Humanities and Social Sciences in addition to courses of parent discipline.
The education system lays great emphasis on continuous evaluation and transparency by means of well designed tutorials and practicals. Every effort is made to reinforce the concepts taught in the classroom and further enhancement of the learning is made possible by a unique educational concept called Project-Oriented Practice (POP) which consists of a minor project given to students from 5th to 6th semesters. In the final year, a major project is assigned to students.
Industry internship after the 6th Semester is an integral part of the academic Program leading to overall development of the student through exposure to practical skills in real life situations.
Education Methodology comprises multiple learning stages, specific Lectures, Self-study, Tutorials, Laboratory Work, Assignments, Projects, Research, Internships, Guest and Expert Lectures, Seminars, Continuous Evaluation, Examinations and Personality Development Programs.

The University have been attracting bright students from all parts of the country for quality education in Computer Science and Information Technology at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. During the course of time it has offered opportunities to its inmates in the area of quality education and research in pursuance of a long cherished mission of the Group.
Most of the courses are supported by good laboratory practice through excellent computer laboratories and software. There is a provision of six elective subjects which a student can choose depending on market demand and his/her interest in emerging areas and need for further specialization. Though most of the courses have elements of research and design, a heavy emphasis on the final year project gives students an excellent opportunity to develop and demonstrate their innovation skills, design skills and research interests. These projects quite often lead to publications of their original work. Some of the core subjects of the programs include Object Oriented Programming, Micro Processors & Controllers, Algorithms, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, Computation Theory, Computer Networks, Compiler Design, Computer Organization and Architecture. Students have to undergo a thorough six-week mandatory industrial training at the end of their third year of study to get a feel of the work culture in relevant industries.
Mr. Manoj Gaur, Executive Chairman of Jaiprakash Associates Limited, the flagship company of Jaypee Group is a distinguished alumnus from BITS Pilani. After completing his B.E Hons. degree in Civil Engineering, he joined the company during the construction of Jaiprakash Associates Ltd.’s first Cement Plant – 1 MTPA at Rewa Madhya Pradesh.
Dr. Saxena; former Director I.I.T. Roorkee (June 2006 – June 2011), former Mentor Director of I.I.T. Mandi, former Director Thapar University (earlier TIET) Patiala (June 2002 – May 2006) & Director Thapar Centre for Industrial Research & Development (January 2004 to May 2006); is now the Vice- Chancellor (Actg) of Jaypee University of Information Technology (A Deemed University) since 1st July 2011.
Prof. Goel brings over 37 years of professional experience. His career has encompassed different roles at various institutions, including the National Informatics Centre, Delhi Institute of Technology now known as Netaji Subhash University of Technology (NSUT), Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU), and Galgotias University.
