Jaypee University Anoopshahr is a multidisciplinary University established in 2014, by the Govt. of U.P. Act No. 8 of 2014. The University is set up in about 95 acres of lush green environment on the banks of holy river Ganga in Anoopshahr, district Bulandshahr, U.P., India (About 100 km from Delhi). The University offers programs in Engineering, Computer Applications, Sciences, Management, Arts, and Commerce with an aim of providing an excellent educational experience to students.

Mr. Manoj Gaur, Executive Chairman of Jaiprakash Associates Limited, the flagship company of Jaypee Group is a distinguished alumnus from BITS Pilani. After completing his B.E Hons. degree in Civil Engineering, he joined the company during the construction of Jaiprakash Associates Ltd.’s first Cement Plant of capacity 1 MTPA, located at Rewa Madhya Pradesh.

Rajiv Saxena had obtained BE in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Subsequently, he completed ME in Digital Techniques and Data Processing. He joined IIT, Roorkee (Erstwhile UOR, Roorkee), as a QIP Research Fellow (MHRD, GOI Scheme), towards his Doctoral Degree Program. The PhD degree was conferred on him in Electronics and Computer Engineering.
Shri Jaiprakash Gaur, the Founder Chairman of the Jaypee Group was born in 1931 in a small village named Chitta (Bulandshahar) in Uttar Pradesh. After completing his early education at various schools in small towns of Uttar Pradesh, he joined Thompson College of Engineering in 1948 and acquired a Diploma in Civil Engineering in 1950 (The College had been converted into the University of Roorkee, now called Indian University of Technology). In the same year, Shri Gaur joined the Irrigation Department of Uttar Pradesh and worked there for 7 years.
The experience gained during this period convinced Shri Gaur that if major construction projects, particularly River-Valley and Hydropower projects could be undertaken efficiently with regard to quality, technology, time and cost, this would act as catalyst in building India’s much needed infrastructure. This conviction resulted in a birth of a new dynamic enterprise with a small capital of Rs. 10,000/- but with a steadfast determination to contribute to nation building.
