Academic Rules And Regulations

General Rules
  • On arrival, students must report to the Coordinator/Caretaker and take possession of the room under their guidance.
  • Students must sign the inventory of the furniture, electrical, and other items before entering the allocated hostel room.
  • At the end of each semester, students must vacate their rooms and hand over all items on the inventory to the Coordinator/Caretaker.
  • Hostel dues must be paid as per the directives of the University officials.
  • Any act of intimidation, violence, damage to property, or riotous behavior constitutes a serious offense.
  • Possession or use of narcotics, alcoholic beverages, and gambling is strictly prohibited.
  • Entering the hostel premises in an intoxicated state or possession of such materials is not allowed and may result in expulsion.
  • The University campus is entirely smoke-free.
  • The management reserves the right to take direct disciplinary action, including expulsion, at short notice.
  • Use of audio equipment in the hostel is allowed only if it does not disturb other residents.
  • No outsider is allowed to stay in the hostel without prior consent from the Warden. Bringing relatives or friends without permission is a serious offense.
  • Parents may visit their child’s room with permission from the Warden.
  • Guests may be entertained in the Visitors’ Room or Cafeteria during designated hours (4:00 PM to 8:00 PM).
  • Guests may stay for one night in the University Field-Hostel/Guest House on payment, with prior permission from the University administration.
  • Students are allowed to be on campus until 10:00 PM daily.
  • Students must mark their attendance in the hostel register between 09:30 PM and 10:15 PM daily.
  • Students are allowed to visit each other in common areas of the hostel until midnight.
  • High-power electrical items (e.g., room heaters, irons) are prohibited. Cooking is not allowed in hostel rooms.
  • Students must keep their rooms and campus clean. Defacing walls, equipment, or furniture is strictly prohibited.
  • Students can report any issues by writing in the complaint register available in the Warden’s room.
Out-Pass Rules
  • Students must get an Out-Pass from the Warden/Registrar/HOD before going outside the campus during the day.
  • Hostellers are allowed to visit the nearest market between 05:00 PM and 07:30 PM without an Out-Pass.
  • No Out-Pass is required on weekends and gazetted holidays.
  • An Out-Pass is required before going on vacations (Mid/End-Semester breaks).
  • Night Out-Pass will be issued with written consent from parents.
Annapurna (Mess) Rules
  • Students must carry their identity cards and produce them when required.
  • Self-service is mandatory in the Annapurna.
  • The quantity of food is unlimited, except for special items.
  • Dining for parents or guests is on a payment basis.
  • Annapurna timings are as follows:
    • Breakfast: 07:30 AM to 09:00 AM
    • Lunch: 12:30 PM to 02:00 PM
    • Dinner: 07:30 PM to 09:00 PM
  • Food is not to be taken outside Annapurna premises.
  • No food will be served in hostel rooms without medical consent from the University Medical Officer/Warden.
  • Wastage of food is strictly prohibited.
  • Cleanliness of Annapurna is everyone’s responsibility.
Ragging

Ragging in any form is strictly BANNED on and off campus. Violators will face legal action and expulsion from the University.

Students must report any such incidents to the Warden, Anti-Ragging Committee, Discipline Committee, Security Personnel, or Director at any time.

Being a silent bystander is also an offense and will invite disciplinary action.
