Social Responsibility & Development Initiatives

The Group has always believed in “growth with a human face” and to fulfill its obligations, it has set up Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan (JSS), a ‘not-for-profit trust’ which primarily serves the objectives of socio-economic development and reducing the pain and distress in society. For over 5 decades, Jaypee Group has supported the socio-economic development of the local environment in which it operates, ensuring that the economically and educationally challenged strata benefit from the Group’s growth by providing education, medical, and other facilities.

The Group also undertakes the Comprehensive Rural Development Programme (CRDP), which covers a wide range of projects such as free medical camps, health check-ups for village school children, literacy campaigns, safe drinking water supply, creating water reservoirs, self-employment initiatives like tailoring classes for women, and animal husbandry. Other important activities include the renovation of old temples, schools, and hospitals in nearby villages.

JSS has translated its social responsibility into reality by building schools and training universities that cater to providing quality education to rural communities. The trust also responds in times of natural catastrophes, aiding affected communities in distress.

Across several locations such as Anoopshahar, Rewa, Bhuj, Sidhi, Kevadia, and more, the Group has established 34 schools, 5 ITI’s, 1 Polytechnic, 1 Advanced Skill Development Centre, 1 PG college, 1 B.Ed college, and 3 universities, serving the educational needs of over 30,000 students across the learning spectrum.
