Dr. Sumit Kumar has obtained his Master and Ph. D. degree in Zoology from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. The doctorate degree in the field of nematode taxonomy in 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Wasim Ahmad. During the tenure of his research, he described several new and known species of Belondiroidea, an important group of soil inhabiting nematodes, usually found in tropical rain forests. He has several peer-reviewed research papers published in reputed International Journals and attended several National and International conferences. He joined Jaypee University Anoopshahr as Assistant Professor in October, 2022. I have been awarded National Fellowship (RGNF, UGC) in 2017 for a tenure of five years.
